The genius and his land” is the name of the tour and it is also the title of a series of free guided tours promoted in the area of Empolese Valdelsa on the occasion of the 500 years from the Maestro’s death. At the same time, Leonardo is commemorated in the locations of his origins. The itineraries, made by the Unione dei Comuni Circondario Empolese Valdelsa (Union of the Empolese Valdelsa Municipalities) with the contribution of the CR Firenze Foundation, have been created keeping in mind Leonardo’s artistic corpus, his manuscripts and the cartographies he dedicated to his lands and will be presented on Wednesday, 17th April. These tours are completely free-of-charge and include walks, activities for the young and not-so-young, aperitifs, tastings and exhibitions organized to discover the richness of the locations, less known but not less important which have been essential to Leonardo’s life. The calendar starts on Sunday, 28th April and ends on Sunday, 28th July.
